Associate of Applied Science Degree - First 2 Semesters Available Online

Our electrical engineering technology curriculum is designed so graduates can work in a range of fields, such as biomedical, avionics and data communications, but it's different from some other training programs.

What can you learn in this degree program?

Our graduates come out with a solid foundation in renewable energy fundamentals and a knowledge of electrical engineering technology that they can apply to the clean energy world. Electrical engineering technicians help design, develop, test, and/or manufacture electrical and electronic equipment. This specialized technician may work in product evaluation and testing, using measuring and diagnostic devices to adjust, test, and repair equipment.

The Electrical Engineering Technology degree program at Ecotech Institute has an expert faculty and uses industry-standard laboratories so that students have the opportunity to apply theory in realistically simulated situations. Because class sizes are small, instructors can provide individualized attention to students who need it.

What are the career opportunities in Electrical Engineering Technology?

On or off the conventional grid, electrical engineering technicians help keep the machines and systems of the green revolution humming. Our degree program is designed with employer input to give students a broad overview of the field of electrical power generation and how it applies specifically to a career in the green economy. Upon successful graduation from this program, graduates should be able to apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge to design, build, repair, calibrate, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls and machinery. Additionally, students learn to perform diagnostic electrical analysis and apply safety principles.
