Electrical Engineering Technology

Associate of Applied Science

On or off the conventional grid, electrical engineering technicians help keep the machines and systems of the green revolution humming.

This program is designed to give graduates a solid foundation in renewable energy fundamentals, while specializing in electrical engineering. Industry-standard laboratories and facilities give students the opportunity to apply theory in realistically simulated situations.

Electrical engineering technicians help design, develop, test, and/or manufacture electrical and electronic equipment. This specialized technician may work in product evaluation and testing, using measuring and diagnostic devices to adjust, test, and repair equipment.

Our Electrical Engineering Technology program might be right for you if you…

  • love to solve technical problems.
  • are curious about how electrical devices work.
  • enjoy working with your hands.
  • are interested in math and science.
  • are interested in how electrical systems or computers work.

The Electrical Engineering Technology track at Ecotech Institute prepares students for careers in the field of renewable energy with a special focus on electrical engineering. Well maintained facilities, modern labs, and small class sizes give students the opportunity to apply theory to real world, hands-on situations.
