Talk about your experience at Ecotech and its value to your life.
I have earned the respect of many friends, curious strangers, and family members for what I now do for a living. Also, I am much smarter than I was before I went to college!
On or off the conventional grid, electrical engineering technicians help keep the machines and systems of the green revolution humming.
The Electrical Engineering Technology program at Ecotech Institute is designed to give graduates a solid foundation in renewable energy fundamentals while specializing in electrical engineering technology. According to Program Director Patrick Longstreth, "Electrical engineering techs work in a lot fields, like biomedical, avionics and data communications. Our curriculum is designed so graduates can work in those areas, but it's different from some other programs in that our graduates come out with a two-bag skill set. They have the knowledge of electrical engineering but can apply it to the clean energy world. I think that makes them a more valuable employees."
In this video, Program Director Patrick Longstreth talks about the Electrical Engineering Technology program.
Electrical engineering technicians help design, develop, test, and/or manufacture electrical and electronic equipment. This specialized technician may work in product evaluation and testing, using measuring and diagnostic devices to adjust, test, and repair equipment.
Career opportunities are available in a wide range of sectors, including government, power generation, manufacturing and other job fields.
Our Electrical Engineering Technology program might be right for you if you:
