Launched in April 2010 in the Denver Metro area, Colorado, the college offers programs designed by experts in the industry for people seeking careers in the rapidly emerging clean tech economy.
Our programs are designed for direct entry into the workforce in the fields of renewable energy and sustainability. We provide an unparalleled student experience and the practical skills students need to be successful in these dynamic environmental careers through. Those programs include:

The cost of your education depends on many factors including the program you choose, the course load you take, and more. Your Admissions Associate and Financial Planning advisor will tell you exactly what the costs are before you commit to anything, and they will work with you to develop the best plan so you can pay for your education and graduate with the least possible obligation.
When comparing costs, be sure to consider unexpected costs and fees that are often added on at some institutions. You will always know all costs up front at Ecotech Institute.
The acceptance of transfer credits is always up to the institution to which you wish to transfer. Remember, though, that our mission is to prepare graduates for success in the job market and all courses are designed to allow direct entry into the workforce, not necessarily to transfer to another school.
As with all our schools, we only offer programs for which job growth is expected. We have done a great deal of research and determined that the job expansion in the green energy field will be tremendous. For example, a January 2009 report delivered by the Council of Economic Advisers found that the clean energy investments of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) are not only creating jobs today, but for the future. The clean energy provisions of ARRA alone have already saved or created 63,000 jobs and are expected to create more than 700,000 by 2012. Research--from Pew Trust to American Solar Energy Society to Navigant--all show tremendous growth in the fields of renewable energy and sustainability design. While we cannot promise anyone a job, we do know that the growth of employment in this area is solid and long-term.
We design and open all of our schools based on extensive research--through independent third-party sources, employers and industry leaders, and national, state and local government resources. We have been talking with employers and have worked with our highly-qualified Board of Advisors to design a curriculum for each program that will ensure students are job-ready in the renewable energy and sustainability fields.
Yes! One of the criteria for choosing to locate the school where we did was the availability of qualified instructors. Our teachers are typically people who have done the work and can give our students the perspective and insights they need to be successful on the job. We found a good pool of those instructors in this area.
The board is made up of highly-respected representatives from the clean energy industry and educators in the field. They are not paid nor do they have any financial interest in the school. They serve on the board because they are convinced that a school such as Ecotech Institute is essential if trained, skilled employees are going to be available for the tremendous growth that will occur in this area.
