Power Utility Technician
Whether on a conventional grid or smart grid, the energy world is getting greener, so those with training in clean energy are positioned for the future. In the meantime, controlling the systems that generate and distribute electric power requires specialized training, and now you can get that training at Ecotech Institute.
Ecotech Institute's newest program, Power Utility Technician, is designed to provide the training necessary to seek career opportunities as power/utility technician. A few of the job titles you may have an opportunity to pursue are Systems Operator, Power Plant Operator, Hydroelectric-Station Operator or Turbine Operator.
This associate's degree program is designed with employer input to prepare graduates for careers in the field of power generation, specializing in power plant operations and maintenance. Students receive immersive and hands-on training that focuses on providing a solid grounding in, and a comprehensive understanding of, electric utility distribution systems, grid and smart grid.
Ecotech Institute's modern laboratories and facilities—coupled with instructors with real-world experience—create an ideal environment for students to apply theory learned in the classroom.
