In addition to our mission to prepare students for renewable energy jobs, we also have a strong student focus. At Ecotech Institute, you will find:

  • Day or night class schedules so students may continue to work while in school
  • Limited class sizes with practical, hands-on individualized instruction
  • A focus on the skills most in demand by clean energy employers
  • Accreditation by ACICS
  • Career placement assistance
  • Financial aid available for those who qualify

How much does it cost to attend Ecotech Institute?

The cost of your education depends on many factors including the program you choose, the course load you take, and more. Your Admissions Representative and Student Finance advisor will tell you exactly what the costs are before you commit to anything, and they will work with you to develop the best plan so you can pay for your education and graduate with the least possible obligation.

You will always know all costs up front at Ecotech Institute. When comparing costs, be sure to consider unexpected costs and fees that are often added on at other institutions

Will credits earned at Ecotech Institute transfer to other colleges or universities?

The acceptance of transfer credits is always up to the institution to which you wish to transfer. Remember, though, that our mission is to prepare graduates for success in the renewable energy job market and all courses are designed to allow direct entry into the workforce, not necessarily to transfer to another school. Please read our Transferability of Credit Disclosure for more information.

Are there actually jobs available in renewable energy and sustainability, or is this just a phase?

We only offer programs for which job growth is expected. We have done a great deal of research and determined that the job expansion in the green energy field will be tremendous. For example, wind energy job openings increased 38% from 2013 to 2014, while there was a 13% increase in all clean jobs during that same period.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported 1.2 million clean jobs available in the first three months of 2015 alone. Research — from Pew Trust to American Solar Energy Society to Navigant — all show tremendous growth in the fields of renewable energy and sustainability design. While we cannot promise anyone a job, we do know that the growth of green employment in this area is solid and long-term.

Since this is an emerging industry, how can Ecotech Institute offer programs that will deliver students the training that employers require?

Based on extensive research through independent third-party sources, employers and industry leaders, plus national, state and local government resources, we have worked with our highly-qualified advisory board to design a curriculum for each program that will help prepare students for a job in the renewable energy and sustainability fields. In addition, one of the criteria for choosing to locate the school where we did was the availability of qualified instructors. Our teachers are typically people who have done the work and can give our students the perspective and insights they need to be successful on the job.

Is the advisory board paid by Ecotech Institute or do they have financial interest in the school?

The board is made up of highly-respected representatives from the clean energy and sustainability industries and educators in the field. They are not paid nor do they have any financial interest in the school. They serve on the board because they are convinced that a school such as Ecotech Institute is essential in order for there to be trained, skilled employees available for the tremendous growth in green jobs.

Do you offer any special benefits to military veterans or their dependents?
