Ecotech Institute ranked as military friendly; introduces ASVAB tutoring

Ecotech Institute was recently selected by Military Times Edge as one of the two–year colleges determined by veterans as "Best for Vets in 2011."

More than 500 student veterans were polled on what they consider the most important school services for vets. Rankings were determined by criteria such as academic accreditation, specialized veteran support, involvement in the Yellow Ribbon program and other considerations.

Also, Ecotech Institute recently hosted a meeting with local military recruiters from the Denver metro area. The main objective of the meeting was to introduce the Military Service Center and the ASVAB tutoring program, which has been successful at Ecotech Institute's sister institution, Virginia College.

The ASVAB tutoring program helps prepare recruits and active duty personnel for testing that determines enlistment eligibility and qualifications for advancement in the military.

Hosts for the presentation included Randy Pavlu, Hal Jensen, Mike Seifert, Tony Fritcher, Kim Stromire, Ashley Smith and Andrea Martell. Military personnel in attendance were Mark Curran from the Colorado Army National Guard, Navy Recruiter Aaron De La Rosa, and William Hoover and Cristina Espinoza from the Army Reserves.
